Temporary fencing — temp fencing, temp fence panels, site fencing — sold outright rather than hired. Panels are 2.1m high and 2.4m long in three mesh gauges, and everything that holds them up is on this page too: concrete bases, clamps, stays, gates and wheels.
Buy it as a package or by the part. A package gives you panels, bases and clamps counted together for a 50m to 600m run, so nothing arrives short. Individual temporary fence panels, bases and clamps are sold on their own if you are topping up an existing run.

Every panel here is the same size on the same 32mm galvanised pipe frame. The only thing that changes is the thickness of the mesh wire — and that is what you are actually choosing between when you compare prices.
Weight is the honest guide: 10kg, 14kg and 22kg for the same panel. A 22kg panel is a two-hand lift and it does not bend when a bobcat brushes it. A 10kg panel goes up fast and comes down faster.
Panels are 2400mm long, so the panel count is roughly your perimeter in metres divided by 2.4. Every package comes with a matching concrete base and clamp for each panel.

The stay is the part people skip and then wish they had not. If your fence is standing through a Queensland storm season, brace it.

Hire makes sense for a one-off job of a few weeks where you never want to see the panels again. Buying makes sense the moment fencing becomes a recurring cost: a builder running two or three sites a year, a council or school with a project list, a hire company building a fleet, or any site where the perimeter is up for six months or more. On most long jobs the purchase price lands somewhere near a few months of hire, and after that the panels are an asset you move to the next site.

It is the thickness of the mesh wire, and it is the only real difference between the three. Every panel is the same 2100mm x 2400mm size on the same 32mm galvanised pipe frame. A 2.5mm panel weighs about 10kg and suits events, crowd lines and short jobs. A 3mm panel weighs about 14kg and is the usual choice for construction sites. A 4mm panel weighs about 22kg and is the one for long-running perimeters that take knocks. Heavier mesh holds its shape better through repeated moves; lighter mesh goes up and comes down faster.
41 panels, and our 100m package includes 41 concrete filled bases and 41 clamps to match. Panels are 2400mm long, so the panel count is roughly your perimeter in metres divided by 2.4. For reference: 50m is 20 panels, 200m is 81, 300m is 121, 400m is 162, 500m is 202 and 600m is 243. Corners and gates change the count, so send us your perimeter length if the run is not a simple straight line.
2100mm high by 2400mm long. The frame is 32mm OD pipe with a 1.4mm wall, the anti-climb mesh weld is 150mm x 60mm, and the whole panel is hot dipped galvanised at an average of over 28 microns per square metre and hand welded. The only variable is the mesh gauge: 2.5mm, 3mm or 4mm.
The concrete filled base is the standard and it is what comes in every package: 611mm x 230mm x 150mm, 26.25kg, safety orange and UV resistant. The empty base is the same shell without the concrete, filled on site. It costs less to buy and far less to freight, which is worth doing on large orders travelling a long distance. Both are sized to the 32mm pipe.
Two things. A clamp at every joint, which ties the panels into one continuous braced run rather than a row of separate panels. And fencing stays, the diagonal brace that props the run against wind load. Put stays on corners, at the ends of every run and along long straights. Stays are sold on their own or as a Fence Stay Combo with clamps and one, two or three concrete bases. Skipping the stays is the most common reason a temp fence ends up on its side.
With a wheeled gate panel. The 2.4m wheeled vehicle access gate is a single 4mm panel on a wheel, which suits pedestrians and light vehicles. The 4.8m version is two panels and two wheels, wide enough for trucks and plant. A 4mm gate panel is also sold on its own, and replacement wheels are available separately since the wheel is usually the first part to wear out.
