Super Fence vet cattle crush with headbail

A cattle crush (or cattle race) safely holds and restrains cattle for drenching, vaccinating, tagging, pregnancy testing, hoof care and general vet work — protecting both your animals and your handlers. Super Fence supplies a full range of vet cattle crushes for sale, from short manual headbail units to full-length automatic vet crushes, all built from heavy galvanised steel for Australian conditions.

Every crush is designed to pair seamlessly with our cattle yards and panels, so you can build a complete handling system. Not sure which model suits your herd? Our team will help you choose and deliver anywhere in Queensland, New South Wales and across Australia.

Manual or automatic headbail?

The headbail is what catches and holds the beast by the neck. Here is how the two options compare.

Manual headbail

You operate the yoke by hand as each beast enters — simple, reliable and lower cost.

  • Great value for smaller herds & hobby farms
  • Fewer moving parts, easy to maintain
  • Full control over each catch

Automatic headbail

The headbail self-catches as the beast pushes through, then locks — faster for high-volume yards.

  • Speeds up drafting & processing large mobs
  • One-person operation
  • Less handler fatigue on big days

Cattle crush FAQs

How much does a cattle crush cost?

Cattle crush pricing depends on the model and features — from compact manual headbail units through to full automatic vet crushes. See the current price on each product above, or contact us for a quote including delivery to your area.

What is the difference between a manual and automatic headbail?

A manual headbail is operated by hand as each beast enters — simple and cost-effective. An automatic (self-catching) headbail locks onto the beast as it pushes through, which speeds up processing for larger herds and can be run by one person.

Do you deliver cattle crushes to NSW and interstate?

Yes. We are based in Brisbane and deliver across Queensland, New South Wales and Australia-wide. Tell us your postcode when you request a quote and we will include freight.

Can I add a crush to my existing cattle yard?

Absolutely. Our crushes are designed to connect with Super Fence cattle yards, races and panels, so you can add one to an existing setup or build a complete handling system from scratch.
